WHY do Group Visits? Enable people to learn w/ & from others Teach patients to self-manage their health by educating them in an environment that fosters peer support Improve provider efficiency by reducing repetition of information Improve interaction by generating open discussion
HOW will Group Visits work? 5 -10 women/ group 6 or so monthly Group Visits 6 or so regular visits ~ also any time on request Physician, nurse, residents co-facilitate group Residents assigned ~ part of OB Curriculum Short didactic piece Emergent topics
