GROUP CRAFTING PROJECT: By Manish, Dylan, and Leing
PROJECT: • Our Group decided to identify Realistic ways to Improve the gamification of the class • We came up with different ideas, different approaches, and different ways to come up with this. • We all have different ideas, and but we came up with some common ideas. • In order to make the classroom a game, we must perceive everything, every person, and every object as part of the game. • So let the games begin. . .
CRAFTING: • Our first idea was the having a theme song as you entered the class. • WE Came up with having a theme song as you entered the class in the sense that if you make you feel like you were approaching a new level. Like you were going to face your fears, or just start something new.
CRAFTING • Our next idea was to change the name of the Syllabus to User's Manual because the syllabus is pretty a user's manual to survive the course. The syllabus has all the dates, has all the information, has given ideas and other things to help, showcase what the semester is going to be about. • ' Another thing was to rename-lessons/sections in the course to levels • Do you accept this mission at the start of the each homework assignment
CRAFTING: • Each row is another level. SO basically what we came up with was that, we were start from the bottom, and as you would get more point, you would move up in the classroom. SO the first row would be with all the students that had the most points. The row after that would be with the students that had the next amount of points. And it would continue til the last row. It makes sense it the sense that in a ordinary classroom, people who want to pay attention often sit in the front. and people who goof off or text often sit in the back.
• We came up that Debates are Pvp • Guilds are multiplayer co-op • That were should be extra lives for minions and bosses • Failing to learn something triggers fail state " Game Over" • There is should be a tracking progess • There should be tutorials which are a summary of each section at the beginning.
• Our last change would be that; • At the beginning of the semester we were putting into groups based on our characteristics and given traits. • We would change that in the sense why would have a group of all designers or all programmers. and let them create the best that there could do, and then do it all together. but since that would create an imbalance we gave up with the idea of having levels to improve what we are good at and also to improve our weakness. Like their would be assignments that might be easier for some people but could be a challenge for others, so it would give them a chance to improve as a person.
