Influences Stylistically, our main influence is Remember Me. In my opinion is the most well directed and brilliantly made moving picture belonging to the horror genre. The directing is fantastic, slow but it keeps you engaged and suspense. The sound is incredibly suspense and melodramatic. The colour pallet is filled with the most gloomiest colours.
Influences In camera shots I love to get close ups and medium shots especially when there isn’t much light, I love scary films and my intention is to make one eventually. When I was a kid I watched Hansel and greatle, it has made me want to make something like this but my own version, 3 people walking through a field dropping something behind them so they no there way back, making it cinematic as well as spooky at the same time, walking through a big dark forest, well I have found a forest we can record that in. I’ve taken out the candy house for a wooden hut, the which will come out from behind the hut and start to brush this blonde hair, with a cinematic feel to it. In the story, the witch puts the children in the fire place and burns them alive, but instead of this I’ve decided to put this girl in the wooden hut whist brushing her hair, but then its is revealed that the body is dead and then start to cut the corpse hair. My influence has came from the Grimm's fairy tail story of Hansel and Gretel. I’ve been influenced to be a camera operator by loads of different horror films, all the quick turns and jump scares have made me want to be behind the cameras when filming it to experience all the technical things behind it. I’ve seen many films where there scary and they don’t have a proper camera man, instead they have a student or someone like that filming it and it is shaky which isn’t good, but in this film the shakiness aded a spooky affect to the film which has made me want to do camera work.
