Match™ Herbicide Overview t “Burndown” or “knockdown” non-selective herbicide based on the citrus extract, d-Limonene, an industrial degreasing agent – Burndown = fast wilting or necrosis of the leaves; removes waxy cuticle – Non-selective = effective on all plant species. However, plants can have different levels of sensitivity. t Limonene – occurs naturally in citrus and certain fruits – is used in soaps, foods and perfumes – an industrial degreasing agent, limonene removes the waxy cuticle found on all plants, causing them to desiccate and die – US FDA classifies limonene as GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe), essentially no measurable toxicity
