Accolades n n n All schools and the district met NCLB and NYS standards in ELA, mathematics and science. At all levels and on all assessments, school performance was comparable or exceeded similar schools. Respectively, 79%, 81% and 93% of students in grades 3 -8 met or exceeded the standard in ELA, mathematics and science. GICSD 65
More Accolades n n In grades 3 -5, 26% of students scored at level 4 (meeting learning standards with distinction) in mathematics. Connor MS students have outperformed their peers in similar schools for 4 years in ELA, mathematics and science. Recommendations – Maintain our Course! n Maintain focus on District Goals and Comprehensive District Education Plan (CDEP) including: ¨ ¨ ¨ ¨ Increase achievement for all students, especially students with disabilities. Teaching reading & writing skills across all content areas. Continue to develop and utilize parallel assessments for all students in all content areas. Continue to align curriculum through the curriculum mapping process. Conduct data analysis on local and state assessments. Encourage family and community involvement in all schools.
