Bottom Line • Strengths – Decreasing case incidence over the past week • Move back into yellow level with drop to 104 weekly sum of new cases – Breakthrough infections low – well within vaccine efficacy parameters • Weaknesses – Slowing of vaccine uptake – Increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations in Grand Forks County • Nationally, hospitalizations have decreased in older and vaccinated populations. • Opportunities – Improve vaccine confidence • Threats – Vaccine hesitant populations, Johnson and Johnson halt – Unknown potential impact of new COVID-19 variants • COVID-19 variants are active in the state based on random and indicated sampling of COVID-19 specimens
