Class of 2023 and Beyond 1) Students must earn 21 high school credits 2) Demonstrate a competent score (684) on the Algebra I and English II Ohio End of Course Exams *If a student does not earn a competent score, see the next slide for options 1) Earn two diploma seals
Alternative to Demonstrating Competency with Ohio Exam Scores 1)Demonstrate Two Career-Focused Activities Choose ONE Foundational Requirement: ● Proficient scores on WEb. Xams- available at CTC ● A 12 -point industry credential - available at CTC and THS ● A pre-apprenticeship or acceptance into an approved apprenticeship program - being developed through our Home building Program AND Choose ONE Supporting Requirement: ● Work-based learning ● Earn the required score on Work. Keys- State has not set score ● Earn Ohio. Means. Jobs Readiness Seal 2) Enlist in Military Show Evidence of signed contract 3) Earn one College Credit Plus Math or English Course- offer Comp 1 at THS

State Seals Explained 1) Science Seal- must meet 1 of 3 a) Earn a 3 or higher on Science EOC b) Earn a “proficient” score on AP Science Test (Bio, Chem, Physics) c) Earn a B or higher in CCP Science Class 2) Citizenship Seal- must meet 1 of 3 a) Earn a 3 or higher on BOTH American History and Government tests b) Earn a “proficient” score on AP Social Studies Test (Human Geo, Govt, APUSH) c) Earn a B or higher in a CCP Social studies course 3) Technology- must meet 1 of 3 a) Earn a “proficient” score on AP exam (not currently offered at THS) b) Earn a B or higher in CCP technology course (Sinclair IT program) c) Complete a course offered that meets school guidelines (undefined)

Fine Arts (Local Seal) Demonstrate skills in the fine or performing arts according to an evaluation aligned with guidelines adopted by the student’s local board of education or school governing authority. ● 2 credits in fine arts OR ● 1 credit in fine arts and participation in 10 hours community/school performance: Participate in Plays/Musicals, Solo & Ensemble, OR Art Shows
