Official Graduation Dates Ø Boston dates: Ø May University has three official graduation (date changes each year) Ø September Ø January 25 th

Sign-out Ø Dr. Jones will be emailing tentative graduates the details related to sign-out. Ø Directions on how to utilize electronic signout system on SPS will be sent shortly there after by the Office of the Registrar Ø You should be actively checking SPS to see which signatures you have already obtained as well as completing any work necessary to receive the remaining signatures.

Diploma Information SIGNED OUT CONFERRAL DATE or DATE of DIPLOMA DISTRIBUTION By May 16 th , 2013 May 19 th , 2013 Given at Commencement on May 17 th, 2013 Between May 17 th & May 19 th 2013 May 19 th, 2013 Be mailed to “diploma address” you updated under diploma & graduation info on the student link

If you sign out BY 5/19/13 you are eligible for a: Ø May 19 th , 2013 Diploma Ø Letter of Graduation which states your official graduation date and degree conferred. Ø Official Final Transcript which includes your final grades, your official graduation date and degree conferred.

Diploma Information SIGNED OUT CONFERRAL DATE or DATE of DIPLOMA DISTRIBUTION Between May 20 th & August 30 th , 2013 September 25 th, 2013 You must update your “diploma mailing address” under diploma & graduation info on the student link, diploma will be mailed to that address

If you complete the sign out process BETWEEN 5/20/13 and 8/30/13 you are immediately eligible for a: Ø Letter of Completion which states the date you completed the necessary requirements for the degree which will be conferred on September 25 th Ø Official transcript with your final grades. No degree or conferral date will be posted.

AFTER 9/25/2013 you will receive a: Ø September 25 th, 2013 diploma Ø The diploma company mails your diploma to the address you entered on the student link. This process could take several weeks.

On or After 9/25/2013 you can request : Ø Ø An official final transcript with your degree and date of conferral An official letter of graduation

License and Board Applications Ø Please read all materials/instructions carefully prior to submitting the application and fee. License requirements vary by state and some states will not accept a “Letter of Completion” in lieu of graduation. Ø Some states will only take an official final transcript with the degree and graduation date on it. If you sign out by May 19 th, 2013, your transcript will indicate a May 19 th, 2013 graduation date.

License and Board Applications Ø If you sign out after May 19 th, 2013, an official final transcript (indicating date of graduation and degree) will only be issued on or after September 25 th, 2013. Ø You can receive an official transcript at any time , but you can only be issued an official final transcript with your graduation date and degree on or after September 25 th, 2013.

Graduation Programs Ø All University Commencement Program: “The Red Book” Ø BUGSDM Commencement Ceremony Program ◦ Both of the above programs will reflect your name and previous degrees as it appears on the student link as of March 13 th, 2013. ◦ Your name will appear in both programs whether you are a May, September or January graduate, unless you have restricted your data on the student link.

Health Insurance ØIf you are currently enrolled in the AETNA student health plan, then your coverage officially ends on August 30 th, 2013.

Disability Insurance Ø All DMD and Advanced Standing students are currently enrolled in a student disability insurance plan. Ø When you graduate, you are entitled to convert your coverage to an individual noncancelable policy w/out medical underwriting. Ø Details are located on the Office of the Registrar’s web site.
