Graduate Research Assistant Orientation Graduate Teaching Assistant Orientation A Tale of Two Graduate Orientations GRA Expectations • Assist in scholarly journal edits • Prepare conferences • Assist with faculty research Erin Ellis Nikhat Ghouse University of Kansas Libraries GTA Expectations • Attend teaching workshops • Teach 1 -2 courses/semester • Enroll in “graduate seminar” Goal: To address the specific needs of both graduate teachers & graduate researchers.
