Graduate Institute of Pharmacology The Institute of Pharmacology was established in 1962. At its inception most of the colleagues were devoted to snake venom research, thereby establishing a concrete academic foundation. Over the past few decades, our institute has grown beyond the tradition and has diversified into multiple research disciplines in biomedical sciences including neurobiology and neuropharmacology, cardiovascular genomics and pharmacology, stem cell biology, immunology and antibody-based therapeutics, system biology and signal transduction, inflammation and cancer biology, epigenetic pharmacology, natural compounds and derivatives, small molecules and snake venombased therapeutics. Furthermore, we will join the Taiwan International Graduate Program (TIGP) with Academia Sinica from 2017 and offer the Ph. D program for the brightest academic talent students at home and abroad. We are actively seeking the opportunity to collaborate with domestic and international researchers so as to synergistically achieve the integrated breakthrough in both basic and translational researches.
