Native and Non-Native Species an organism that naturally originated and evolved in a particular region Non-Native Species an organism that has been deliberately, or accidentally, transported to its new location
Native Species Indigenous Species an organism that arrived at one place from somewhere else on its own, without man’s aid Endemic Species an organism that evolved in one place and is found only there, and nowhere else on Earth
Non-Native Species Introduced Species a species not indigenous to a given place, and that has been accidentally, or deliberately, transported by humans Invasive Species a species that enters into new ecosystems and spreads, causing damage to native species and their habitats
