Ontario Secondary School Diploma • What you need to graduate • To earn a high school diploma in an Ontario Catholic Secondary School, students must: • earn 22 compulsory credits • earn 8 optional credits • pass the literacy requirement • complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities

 • Students in a Catholic Secondary School must earn the following 22 compulsory

• Students in a Catholic Secondary School must earn the following 22 compulsory credits to get their Ontario Secondary School Diploma: Compulsory Credits • 4 credits in Theology (1 credit per grade) • 4 credits in English (1 credit per grade) • 3 credits in Mathematics (at least 1 credit in Grade 11 or 12) • 3 credits for Group 1, 2 and 3 courses (1 credit in each Group) • 2 credits in Science • 1 credit in Canadian History (Grade 10) • 1 credit in Canadian Geography (Grade 9) • 1 credit in the Arts • 1 credit in Health and Physical Education • 1 credit in French as a Second Language • 0. 5 credit in Career Studies • 0. 5 credit in Civics

New Course to Cabot for Grade 12 • ETS 4 C/4 U • Grade 12 Literature Studies – Horror • Students will look at the changing nature of monsters that presented a threat to different decades of people: the first horror movies of the silent era, the monsters, vampires, and werewolves of the 30 s and 40 s, the fear of possessed children in the 70 s, psycho-killers of the 80 s and 90 s, contagion and post-apocalyptic horror of the present.
