GRAD KNOWLEDGE BASE COMMUNITY § The Grad Knowledge Base Community introduces an internal FAQ resource for Mason grad faculty and staff. § The Community is available only to Mason users who are logged in to their Salesforce account. § The Community is made up of Mason-specific “Knowledge Articles” – each article is essentially an individual FAQ. § The Community is intended to be built out over time by central staff and OGALs to become an invaluable resource for Grad-related information. ACCESSING THE COMMUNITY 1. From the App Launcher, begin searching for “Grad Knowledge Base” and select the following item: 2. The Community webpage will open in a separate tab: NOTE: If you bookmark the Community URL and try to access it without first being logged in to SF via Shibboleth, it will bring you to an unfamiliar SF login page. SEARCHING FOR A KNOWLEDGE ARTICLE The search bar on the Community homepage is reactive and will bring up suggested relevant Knowledge articles as a user enters their search term. Or, the user can execute the search and see a full list of articles that include the search term(s). GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY
NAVIGATING VIA THE TOPIC CATALOG Users can also browse articles in all topics if they are not sure exactly what search term will locate the information they need. GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY
