Economic Development n Developed countries (MDC)- (_____) highly industrialized with high per capita GNP; represent ____ of the worlds pop that control ____ of wealth; 88% of resources and produce 75% of pollution and waste 2/20/2021 n Developing countries (LDC)- (_____) low per capita GNP; represent _____of the projected increase in the worlds population 15

The Good of Economic Growth n Positive ¨Increased ____________ ¨____________ ¨Increased ________ ¨Safe __________ in Rural Areas ¨Increased Production with fewer materials ¨______ in Major _________ (since 1970 s) in 2/20/2021 16

The Bad of Economic Growth n Negative¨Life Expectancy _____ in LDCs (low developed countries) ¨_______ is 8 times ______ in LDCs ¨Less Sustainability in Agricultural Practices ¨_________________ (WHO) ¨Increased Demand on Resources (pop) ¨_________of Habitable Surface (73% already) 2/20/2021 17
