Printing Pros • Gives the user something to physically hold and take notes on. • Easier to compile large financial books with multiple different file formats. Cons • There is no security around the information printed on the paper or where the report prints to. • The user is unable to drill into the details of the data.

XPS Pros • It is an electronic document that can’t be changed, true paperless document. • The XPS viewer is usually installed on all newer windows operating systems. Cons • There is no security around the information exported or who gets the report. • The user is unable to drill into the details of the data

E-Mail Pros • Ability for the user to drill into the transactional details. • You can use the security built into MR to control who can view what information. Limit access to the report or specific trees by user. Cons • Users must have a secure connection to the MR server to be able to view the report. Can’t view the report from home unless you have a vpn connection to work. • When the user opens the report it is the most current report that has been run. Requires each version of the report to be in a unique location in the MR viewer.

Excel Pros • It’s Excel, most accountants are well adjusted to using this program. • Very easy to make changes as needed by the report user. Cons • The only security is what you assign to the file, no tree level security only opening the file. • The User! People make mistakes, accidentally hitting a few keys or numbers before printing or saving or deleting the file.

MR Library Pros • There are no files to distribute to the users. • Allows the users to select different versions of the report, such as the previous month. Cons • The user is not always aware of when the reports have been updated for the month. • Requires MR to be installed on all of the user computers.

UNC Locations Pros • There are no files to distribute to the users. • Allows the users to select different versions of the report, such as the previous month. Cons • The user is not always aware of when the reports have been updated for the month. • The link may have a different name but it always opens the current version.

Share Point Pros • The users can be notified when the report is updated. • Allows users not logged into the network to view the reports. Cons • May require additional software and costs. • The link may have a different name but it always opens the current version.
