Background & Dashboard Overview Via M-19 -13 and several earlier directives, the Government has established and advanced an objective of implementing Category Management - the business practice of buying common goods and services as an enterprise to eliminate redundancies, increase efficiency, and deliver more value and savings from the Government's acquisition programs. Category Management is one of the key Cross-Agency Priority (CAP) Goals in the President’s Management Agenda. OMB and GSA partnered to develop Dashboards and Tools to assist agencies in implementing Category Management. The Quick Decisions Playbook was developed to guide Agencies on how to leverage the Dashboards and Tools to execute Category Management, specifically for the Quick Decisions Playbook in the following activities: CAP Goals 1. Evaluate Competitive Pricing Data on BIC Solutions & Determine Factors that Drive Prices 2. Move Expiring Contracts to BIC or Tier 2 3. Search FPDS by Vendor, DUNS, or NAICS to Identify Contracts
Background & Dashboard Overview This is the Acquisition Analytics Quick Decisions Tool. The goal is to help members of the acquisition community rapidly access market research data to make decisions while ensuring that agency Category Management goals are met for Spend Under Management (SUM), Best In Class (BIC), and Tier 0 Contract Reduction The tool can be found here: AA Quick Decisions There are three tools within AA Quick Decisions used to uncover these insights. They’ve evolved from conversations with stakeholders who provided feedback on what Contracting Officers need to know when they make purchases and what Category Managers need to achieve CM goals. AA Quick Decisions Data Sources: • Product Pricing data from Best-In-Class award vehicles • Enriched FPDS-NG obligation data from ten common spend categories that comprise GWCM.
