Claim S Government spying has become increasingly invasive which harms both national and international relations. Government agencies should focus their attention more on those high risk individuals or organization who truly threaten the nation rather than waste time, effort, and resources on every single citizen.
Privacy Issues S NSA partnered with AT&T to intercept phone and internet communications S Man in the middle tactics S The government can spy on citizens through anything S Phones, social media, cars S “As one example, the NSA has inserted its code into Android’s operating system…bugging three-quarters of the world’s smartphones. Conclusion “The NSA has used some questionable ways of obtaining information for sure, but they have good reasons. If the federal government were to restrict the NSA in what they can do, we would still get information, and in a less severe way that this does not infringe on the privacy of innocent people” -The Roundup Government spying has the potential to be good and beneficial but as of right now, they’re wasting time and make citizens paranoid that their every single move is being watched. Through this, a mutual sense of trust between citizen and government is lost. S
