Organogram – SMPU of Telangana SW & GW In order to enable the coordination with State Implementing Agencies with Central Implementing Agencies, National Project Monitoring Unit is established in the MOWR at National level and State Project Monitoring Units (SPMU) are established at State levels. The SPMU of Telangana State Project Coordinator Special Chief Secretary to Govt of Telangana I & CAD Department Project Formulation & Monitoring Officer Nodal Officer GW (Director, GW Dept) (ENC - Irrigation) Advises on the program of NHP & monitors the implementation & attends the meetings at National level in lieu of Project Coordinator Superintending Engineer (along with NHP unit) Nodal Officer SW (CE, Hydrology & Inv)

Funds received, & Expenditure till date FY 2016 -17 The Government of India issued Rs. 50, 74, 000 Vide Lr. No. X- 96040/1/2016 -NHP/817 -829 Dt: 13 -01 -2017. The amount got credited on 10 -02 -2017. The expenditure made till date is NIL. FY 2017 -18 The Government of India issued Rs. 5, 17, 000 96040/1/2016 -NHP/3427 -3430 Dt: 19 -06 -2017 component of the State of Telangana for Vide Lr. No. X- Surface Water for the year 2017 -18. The amount got credited on 13 -07 -2017. The expenditure made till date is NIL.

Physical Progress The Procurement process of the components of the year 2016 -17 is ready and going to be procured soon. The procurement procedures for the components of the year 2017 -18 are underway.
Status of Bid Document The preparation of Bid document for the procurement of some of the components of 2017 -18 is completed. The Draft Bid Document will be uploaded in Management Information System for the approval of MOWR, RD & GR.
Status of various studies (PDS) Submitted the following Purpose Driven Studies to PDS coordinator, NIH, Roorkee and comments received for some of them by NIH are being attended. 1) Urban hydrological studies of critical Pilot area and planning with in optimum network system of Instrumentation of Grater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation GHMC area Hyderabad. 2) Study of water Resources in catchments consisting of cascade of tank and its impact on individual constituent tanks and on sub-basin.
3) Study of Irrigation planning on one Major Command including Efficiency study of on farm development. 4) IWRM for Krishna basin by developing River basin Modelling (including supply of hardware and software) 5) IWRM for Godavari basin by developing River Basin Modelling (including hardware and software) 6) Impact Studies of Watersheds on Water Availability in Basins.
Status of Hydro-met stations Abstract details of proposed Hydro-met stations under National Hydrology Project Submitted the Proposed Hydro-met Sites under National Hydrology Project to Mo. WR, RD & GR. Review is in process with Regional CWC to avoid duplication of Proposed Hydro-met Sites under National Hydrology Project. Sl. Status of WRIS Website of state WRIS http: //bhuvan. nrsc. gov. in/governance/twris Entire Project Command Boundary, WUA wise boundaries and distributaries wise boundaries for 55 (22 major & 33 medium) projects is digitized. Entire Canal network Digitized up to sub minor level for all 55 Projects in Telangana with 8199 No of canals with length 22, 784 km. Canal attribute information available for 3745 Canals. 865 AWS Stations rainfall dynamic data integrated from Planning Department.
Ground water level trends (Depth to ground water month wise and year wise)for 857 GW stations is integrated into TWRIS. Cropping pattern for Kharif 2016 and Rabi 2017 is analyzed for command boundaries using satellite imagery and made available on TWRIS. 45, 000 MI Tanks have been geo-tagged and their attribute details like Tank ayacut, bund length and geotagged photos have been integrated onto TWRIS.
Status of Public Finance Management System (PFMS) Registration is done and is set to use.
Issues There are no major Issues to be resolved. However , Some more clarity regarding the River Basin model is required to go forward. Appointment of supporting staff & Technical staff.
Way Forward Installation of Hydrological instruments at Project sites and the data generation on Real Time basis. Integrating such data with River basin Modelling for the Real Time Management of Water Resources.
