On Next Slide I have created a wordsearch with this week’s spellings on (all three spelling groups) Can you see if you can find them all?
This weeks spellings are the ‘ous’ spellings. Practice your spellings each day as we will still be testing ourselves tomorrow morning. When you test yourself tomorrow morning, let me know your result and if you get them all right or only one wrong you will still get your spelling dojo point like usual!

Science
Our New Science Topic is States of Matter
There are three states of matter!!! Solid, liquids and Gasses!
Thursday 7 th January LO: I can sort materials into solids, liquids or gases. LO: I can describe the properties of solids, liquids and gases.
Solids Materials in a solid state keep their shape unless a force is applied to them. Solids can be cut, squashed or twisted. They will not change shape on their own. Solid materials always take up the same amount of space. They do not spread out or flow. Solids do not have to be hard. They can be squishy or soft.
Liquids Materials in a liquid state take the shape of the container they are in. Although liquids can change shape, they do not change their volume. This means they still take up the same amount of space. Liquids are pulled down to the bottom of a container by gravity. Liquids can flow or be poured.
Gasses Materials in a gaseous state can spread out to completely fill the container or room they are in. Gases have weight. Gases can be squashed. Gases do not keep their shape.
Solids Split your paper into three like this. Sort the materials on the next two slides into the correct columns! Liquids Gasses
Watch this Video! Write down how many different solids, liquids and gasses you can spot! https: //www. bbc. co. uk/bitesize/clips/zrdkjxs
