Good morning Year 2 Tuesday 19 th May English This week we are sharpening up our punctuation with short writing tasks. Commas are used in lists of adjectives or nouns. _____ , ______ and ____ , _______ Yesterday you thought about what you would take on holiday in your suitcase. Today lets see if we can make the writing more exciting, not just a list of nouns but noun phrases. So adjectives and nouns working together. This is my first sentence from yesterday. I would definitely pack shorts, t-shirts and sunglasses. Add adjectives or other details to make it more interesting. I would definitely pack my favourite shorts, two sparkly t-shirts and some huge, dark sunglasses.

Tuesday 19 th May Maths Yesterday we practised adding single digits. Now lets use that learning to add tens. So 3 + 2 = 5 30 + 20 = 50 What goes with 40 to make 50? Mmmmmm well, I know that 4 + 1 = 5 sooooo 40 + 10 =50 9 yellow squares and 1 blue square makes 10 squares. 9 + 1 = 10 and 90 + 10 = 100 Now complete the questions in Maths Tuesday 19 May. Write on the sheet or in your book. Write the date the maths way 19 – 5 - 20. Try 2 or all of the pages. Use Prodigy for 20 minutes please. Addition and subtraction questions have been set for you.
