Once there was a crow. One summer day, it became very thirsty.

It flew all over the fields looking for water. For along time, it couldn’t find any water.

It felt very tired and weak, almost giving up hope.

Suddenly. It saw a water pitcher under a tree. It straight down to see , if there was any water inside.

Yes , it could see some water inside the pitcher !

The crow tried to push its head into the pitcher. Sadly it found that there was a little water in the pitcher and It couldn’t drink water. The crow was very upset.

The crow thought hard for a while. Then it saw some pebbles around the pitcher.

The crow had a good idea and it picking up the pebbles one by one, dropping each into the pitcher.

As more and more pebbles filled the pitcher, the water level kept rising.

Soon it was high enough for the crow to drink.

The crow drank water and then it flew away.
