This suggests that he wants to defile Desdemona either by sleeping with her or other means. Gross.

The Fight: Iago sends Roderigo after a drunk Cassio (he’s a fighter). They come running back into the scene with Cassio chasing Roderigo. Montano: Montano (Governor of Cyprus) tries to stop the fight and Cassio attacks him. Resolution: Othello wants to hear the story; Iago ‘gives in’ and retells the story with Cassio in the worst possible light.

The next step: Iago is going to ask his wife (Emilia) to talk to Desdemona about getting Cassio his job back and make sure Othello sees Cassio talk to Desdemona
