M=1 - Mask/Self Portrait Activity Materials Needed: folded white paper, pencil, markers/colored pencils Students and teacher will discuss words (adjectives) to describe themselves. Teacher will discuss the difference between physical traits (pretty, brown eyes, tall, short) and internal traits (helpful, kind, smart, etc). See attachment for other examples. Students and teacher will watch the Youtube video on how to create a mask self portrait that focuses on internal traits. Teacher may want students to watch entire video before beginning the activity. (Video is about 9 minutes long. )
