Examples of repentant sinners • Peter and Mary Magdalene are examples of repentant sinners who were shown mercy and compassion. • Textbook p. 65, paragraph 3 and 4 • Peter denied Jesus three times (Lk 22: 54 -63 or Jn 18: 15 -27) • What was his sin? Whom did he hurt? • Jesus forgave Peter (Jn 21: 1 -19) • How did Peter show he wanted forgiveness? • Was Jesus angry? How did he receive Peter as a sinner? • Let’s act it out!
