God’s Special Garden Isaiah 5
Isaiah’s 6 “Woes”
COVETOUSNESS (VV. 8 -10) LANDGRABBING
DRUNKENNESS (VV. 11 -12)
4 It is not for kings, Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine or for rulers to desire beer. 5 Otherwise, he will drink, forget what is decreed, and pervert justice for all the oppressed.
CARELESSNESS (VV. 18 -19)
DECEPTION (V. 20)
“O evil men, you make "justice" a bitter pill for the poor and oppressed. Righteousness and “fair play” are meaningless fictions to you!” Amos 5: 7
PRIDE (VV. 21 -22)
INJUSTICE (VV. 21 -23)
Since 1973, more than 60 million babies have been murdered through abortion. And countless lives have been cut short by euthanasia. The key difference between euthanasia and assisted suicide is that in cases of assisted suicide, the individual receives assistance, but ultimately voluntarily causes their own death. In euthanasia the individual does not directly end their life, but another person acts to cause the individual's death.
GOD purposes that His people live RIGHTEOUSLY.
GOD purposes that His people do JUSTLY,
GOD purposes that His people walk HUMBLY with their God.
”a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. ” 1 Peter 2: 9 -12
11 Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, 12 having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation. 1 Peter 2: 9 -12
13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, 14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. 15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men— 1 Peter 2: 13 -17
16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God. 17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king 1 Peter 2: 13 -17
