“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good…”

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good…” Joseph was loved “too much” by his father He was “greatly” hated by his brothers For 22 years, he did not know God’s purpose in all of this When his brothers show up, he begins to understand “why” (Gen 45: 7 -8)

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good…”

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good…” This verse says: 1. Joseph experienced bad things in his life at the hands of his brothers – they did evil to him and meant it for evil They are accountable (responsible) for their sin 2. But God MEANT it for GOOD – He did not merely “use” these things and make them into something good God “sent” and God “meant” these things for GOOD
