What are the Niagara Falls? • Niagara Falls is made up of two waterfalls both of which are fed by the Niagara river. The waterfalls on the American side are between Prospect Point and Luna Island and Goat Island. The Canadian Falls are famously known as the Horseshoe Falls because of their shape the Horseshoe Falls carry 9 times more water than the American Falls.
