John 8: 2 -3 Early the next morning he [Jesus] was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, 3 and he sat down and taught them. As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd.
John 8: 4 -5 “Teacher, ” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of 5 adultery. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say? ”
John 8: 6 They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger.

Sin promises satisfaction

So many think happiness and holiness are at odds.
Matthew 7: 11 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.
1 Corinthians 10: 13 b And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
Every temptation is an invitation to depend on Christ!
