Student Exchange: Programmes: • Erasmus / other partners with agreement – Many partner schools in Europe, some e. g. in South. Korea, Russia, China… – Erasmus grant / Savonia UAS grant – No tuition fees • Free mover – Individual find your own school with suitable courses – Tuition fee must be paid TRY to get Savonia UAS grant 3

Erasmus: • Exchange for at least 3 months, Erasmus grant has been 200 e / month (2012 -2013 will be confirmed later) • First-year studies must be completed prior to exchange period; the average grade of compulsory English language courses has to be at least 3 • Applying always in cooperation with school, never on your own. • Before exchange: Plan your studies carefully: Learning Agreement between schools • During the exchange: At least 5 credits every month 5

Applying process 2012 -2013 1/3 • Read ALL information on Moodle (Liku: Information for students, part 5 International affairs). • Read webpages of the partner schools very carefully!!! • Make a top three list of possible schools. • Contact Inka-Mari Suhonen (A-1056). Office hour in this period on TUESDAY at 10. 15 -11) or schedule an appointment. 6

Applying process 2012 -2013 2/3 • Application = 1 x A 4 in English (auf Deutsch, på svenska. . ) – Why to go abroad? – Where and why? – One or two semesters? – Top 3 list • Cv & transcript of records (as attachment). • All documents for academic year 2012 -2013 to Inka-Mari (A-1056) IN MARCH 2012. Please note: this is the first (internal) step of the application process; in Savonia/ Business and Administration. 7

Applying process 2012 -2013 3/3 In April 2012 you will get the answer from Savonia (who can apply and to which school). • Next step: Application to exchange school. • You have to organize practicalities mainly by yourself, e. g. travelling, insurance, possible grants, accommodation, permit of residence, bank accounts etc… Your own motivation is the most important thing if you are planning to go on an exchange. 8

!!! Please note: • Savonia will use a web-based MOBILITY ONLINE –application system. • Information in this presentation is valid until Mobility Online is in use.
