GMSP celebrates SG 50 all year round. We also brought the museum to GMSP. This year we have 2 special exhibitions from Heritage Board, ‘FAMILY FUN’ and ‘KAMPONG SPIRIT KAMPONG FUN’. We started the year with a heart of thanksgivings. As this is the Jubilee Year for Singapore and the year of the Lord’s favour, every staff and pupil penned down one thing we would like to thank GOD. FEBRUARY GMSP celebrates FAMILY FUN Exhibition In line with TDD this year and SAF 50, GMSP had a structured experience where everyone had biscuits and plain water for recess and our GMSP male teachers put on their National Service uniform. As it is SG 50, we have a special exhibition from Heritage Board on FAMILY AND FUN. In GMSP, we celebrate Family and all staff and pupils shared their favourite family photographs.
MARCH GMSP celebrates English – Sustained Silent Reading (SSR) During the first ten minutes of the English lesson, every pupil will share about their favourite place of interest in Singapore / food / idol / drama.
MARCH GMSP celebrates GMSP SPORTS GALA 50 This year, GMSP had the privilege to have Singapore’s greatest Track & Field athlete, Mr C. Kunanlan as Guest of Honour for our Sports’ Day. We had the different houses who did the SG 50 formation with their various props and everyone skipped for 50 seconds for the community project “Skips for Good Food @South East”. For every 400 skips pupils/teachers achieved, 1 food product (courtesy from CP Singapore) would be donated to the needy.

AUGUST GMSP celebrates Prayers for our Leaders As a mission school, we believe that it is important to educate our pupils to keep our national leaders in prayer, thus in the month of August, we prayed for our Prime Minister and the new Cabinet.
AUGUST GMSP celebrates National Day Celebration What is a National Day Celebration without the march in of the school flag and the national flag led by our BB and GB? Everyone was dressed in red and white. It is very special because we honoured the school attendants, security guards, librarian and OSOs of GMSP. A handmade ‘Thank You’ card was given to all of them to appreciate their hard work and thank them for their contributions.
AUGUST GMSP celebrates THANKSGIVING GMSP celebrates her 91 st. We have a special blackboard for our guests, parents, staff and pupils to pen their birthday wishes for Singapore. We invited the ‘Pioneer Generations’ ex-teachers to celebrate our 91 st Thanksgiving and SG 50. We also prayed for the ‘Pioneer Generations’ teachers who are currently teaching.
SEPTEMBE R GMSP celebrates Teachers’ Day Celebration GMSP celebrates Teachers’ Day at Fairmont Singapore & Swissotel The Stamford Asia Market Café. The theme is ‘Uniquely Singapore’. All staff dressed up in the different outfits which are uniquely Singapore and all the prizes are also uniquely Singapore. Not forgetting, the handmade rickshaw which was specially created by one of our teachers.
OCTOBER Lower Primary Sports GMSP celebrates All the stations for Lower Primary Sports have to do with the number 50. At various stations, pupils have to complete the task within 50 seconds or run for 50 metres. Pupils also watched videos of the ‘Pioneers Sportmen & Sportswomen’. We also had a station called ‘SG Throw’.
OCTOBER GMSP celebrates P. R. A. I. S. E@MY SINGAPURA Our Primary Four pupils created their dioramas with theme ‘OUR PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE’ in line with SG 50. Our artworks were exhibited at the Singapore Arts Musuem.
