Gathering to worship God Let us worship God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Alleluia. Christ is risen. He is risen indeed. Alleluia. Lord, direct our thoughts, teach us to pray, lift our hearts to worship you in spirit and in truth, through Jesus Christ.

Saying sorry to God our Father, we come to you in sorrow: For the mean thoughts we have had, Father, forgive us and help us. For the hurtful words we have said, Father, forgive us and help us. For the wrong things we have done, Father, forgive us and help us.

Hearing the Word of God Easter Sea Shanty

Responding to the Word of God We pray for God’s grace, saying: Lord, receive our praise and hear our prayer.

Jesus, you’re alive! Not as you were alive in Galilee with your friends. Then only the people who met you could talk to you. But now, everybody can! I’m talking to you and you’re with me; friends of yours all over the world are talking to you now, this very minute, and you’re with them. That’s what I like about you – you’re alive for everyone!

Lord God, you are always with me. You are with me in the day and in the night. You are with me when I’m happy and when I’m sad. You are with me when I’m healthy and when I’m ill. You are with me when I’m peaceful and when I’m worried. Help me to remember that you love me and are with me in everything today. Thank you, God, for this new day. Help us all to be OK. Keep my family and friends safe.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name; your kingdom come, your will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and for ever. Amen.
