GLOSSARY Trituration of Amalgam. Trituration is the mechanical mixing of the alloy and mercury. Trituration is done by hand using a mortar and pestle or a mechanical amalgamator Condensation is the process of packing an amalgam mix into a cavity preparation. Both time and pressure are important to achieve the best results : ﻣﺼﻄﻠﺤﺎﺕ ﻳﻤﻜﻦ ﺃﻦ ﻳﻜﻮﻥ ﺍﻟﺴﺤﻖ ﺇﻣﺎ ﻳﺪﻭﻳ ﺑﺎﺳﺘﺨﺪﺍﻡ ، ﻫﻮ ﺍﻟﻤﺰﺝ ﺍﻟﻤﻴﻜﺎﻧﻴﻜﻲ ﻟﻠﺨﻠﻴﻄﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﺰﺋﺒﻖ : ﺍﻟﺴﺤﻖ ﺍﻟﻬﺎﻭﻥ ﻭ ﺍﻟﻤﺪﻗﺔ ﺃﻮ آﻠﻴ ﻛﻼ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻀﻐﻂ ﻭﺍﻟﻮﻗﺖ ﻣﻬﻤﺎﺏ ، ﻋﻤﻠﻴﺔ ﺭﺹ ﻣﺰﻳﺞ ﺍﻷﻤﻠﻐﻢ ﻓﻲ ﺣﻔﺮﺓ ﺍﻟﺘﺤﻀﻴﺮ : ﺍﻟﺘﻜﺜﻴﻒ
advantages It is easy to insert adapts readily to cavity walls. In obtaining its initial set, amalgam allows time for condensing and carving. It has an acceptable crushing strength as having a long life as a restoration. As an amalgam restoration ages in the oral cavity, corrosion products form along the restoration-tooth interface. These compounds act as a mechanical block to microleakage and account for the excellent clinical results. The alternatives to amalgam have some problems as expense, shorter logevity, or difficulty to placement. : ﺍﻟﺤﺴﻨﺎﺕ ﺳﻬﻮﻟﺔ ﺍﻟﺘﻄﺒﻴﻖ ﻳﺘﻜﻴﻒ ﺑﺸﻜﻞ ﺟﻴﺪ ﻣﻊ ﺟﺪﺭﺍﻥ ﺍﻟﺘﺤﻀﻴﺮ ﻳﺴﻤﺢ ﺍﻷﻤﻠﻐﻢ ﻟﻠﺘﻜﺜﻴﻒ ﻭ ﺍﻟﻨﺤﺖ , ﻋﻨﺪ ﺣﺪﻭﺙ ﺗﺼﻠﺒﻪ ﺍﻟﺒﺪﺋﻲ ﻓﺈﻥ ﻧﺘﺎﺋﺞ ﻋﻤﻠﻴﺔ ﺍﻟﺘآﻜﻞ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﺴﺘﻮﻯ ، ﻣﻊ ﺗﻘﺪﻡ ﺍﻟﻮﻗﺖ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺤﻔﺮﺓ ﺍﻟﺴﻨﻴﺔ ﻓﻲ ﻭﺟﻪ ، ﺍﻟﺘﺮﻣﻴﻢ ﻫﺬﻩ ﺍﻟﻤﻨﺘﺠﺎﺕ ﺗﻌﻤﻞ ﻛﻤﺎﺩﺓ ﺳﺎﺩﺓ ﻣﻴﻜﺎﻧﻴﻜﻴ - ﺍﻟﺘﻘﺎﺀ ﺍﻟﺴﻦ ﺍﻟﺘﺴﺮﺏ ﺍﻟﺤﻔﺎﻓﻲ ﻭﺗﺴﺎﻫﻢ ﺑﻨﺘﺎﺋﺞ ﺳﺮﻳﺮﻳﺔ ﻣﻤﺘﺎﺯﺓ
Disadvantages Non aesthetic, Amalgam will tarnish with time. Amalgam will also conduct heat or cold readily. Therefore, an intermediate base that will not conduct heat or cold as readily is placed under the amalgam. : ﺍﻟﺴﻴﺌﺎﺕ ﻏﻴﺮ ﺗﺠﻤﻴﻠﻲ ﻟﺬﻟﻚ ﻓﺈﻧﻪ ﻳﺠﺐ ﺗﻄﺒﻴﻖ ﻗﺎﻋﺪﺓ ﻏﻴﺮ ﻧﺎﻗﻠﺔ ﻟﻠﺤﺮﺍﺭﺓ ﺗﺤﺖ , ﺍﻷﻤﻠﻐﻢ ﻧﺎﻗﻞ ﻟﺤﺮﺍﺭﺓ ﻭﺍﻟﺒﺮﻭﺩﺓ ﺍﻷﻤﻠﻐﻢ
