WHAT SOCIAL CHANGE DID SHE INITIATE? ▸ Gloria Steinem initiated Civil Rights, Activist and Feminist Movement from 1934 until today ▸ also a social activist, writer and an editor of the Ms. magazine ▸ Having an abortion at 22, her own political awakening increased when she cover another abortion story for New York Magazine in 1969 and learned of the horrifying and humiliating experiences women endured attempting to exercise their right to reproductive freedom.
