GRUP Survey – Online Collecting basic facts of 1200 research universities about academic staff, students and finance Number of participating institutions • 2011: 231 (20% participation rate) • 2012: 425 (35% participation rate) - 61% of Top 100 of ARWU - 50% of Top 500 of ARWU
Data from National Statistical Agencies 14 countries were identified to have relatively mature institution statistics: • 64% of institutions in ARWU database • 70% of Top 500 of ARWU

Interactive Benchmarking & Ranking Platform The GRUP Platform aims to enable comprehensive comparisons of global research universities. So far, the interactive ranking platform can be used to: • Benchmark institutions with their peers • Estimate ranking positions in ARWU • Rank institutions by indicators
