With the new Global Match. Up, you have the ability to create a global matchcode (using the Matchcode Editor) 7
Global Matchcodes have an additional set of parsed address matchcode datatypes. But we always add Country to a global matchcode. 8
Since many of the traditional Fuzzy algorithms do not comply with extended characters, we have a new algorithm for Global data 9

Global Processing Why the difference between Global and Domestic matchcode logic? Global Deduping relies on our Global Address Object’s address splitter to parse the numerous possible global address patterns Postal codes are part of the full address line input for Global, not a separate mapped datatype. 11
Global Processing What countries do we support? Match. Up Full Support Status by Country Full Support status simply means that we have implemented and tested Global Address parsing to our standard acceptance levels. In cases where a Country has not been given full support status, Match. Up may still return accurate results, but simply has not passed final development and testing. Melissa Data’s Global Address verification can also be used as a compliment to ensure accurate record matching. 12
Global Considerations Encoding – functionality has been added so the user can specify the encoding of the database Country specific matching – Match. Up relies on the Global. Address Object for Address parsing (but does not verify the address. This requires Country to be one of the matchcode components. Knowledgebase – we are carefully adding datatype keywords to the underlying datafiles. Ex: gm. BH 13
This ‘User’ did not properly set encoding 14
This ‘User’ set the encoding correctly 15

This enables multiple Country databases to be processed in a single run These are Full Address line datatypes Even though your matchcode specifies individual address parts as your match criteria, Match. Up is expecting that records’ complete Address (including the Area Hierarchy) ie. Users should not pre-parse addresses and only let Match. Up see some of the parts 17

• We are currently researching, Company indicators, Name Prefixes, and Name Suffixes to expand our knowledgebase and therefore return more accurate matchkeys. • As an example, what appears to be a somewhat uncommon Name Prefix in Country X, may actually be a popular First Name in Country Y. Adding such Name Prefix to our data table would break accurate processing for Country Y records. 19
