Self Assessment The purpose of the self assessment is to summarize the ARCC indicators for each college and show the college is addressing any weaknesses. GCC’s self assessment in 2010 included the following: • • Description of GCC Diversity of population Success of transfers/degrees and certificates awarded GCC ranks high among peer groups, particularly students earning 30+ units • GCC higher than statewide averages and peer group averages for all indicators • Areas for improvement: basic skills course success, basic skills improvement, vocational course success
