What is Girls Who Code? Girls Who Code is a national organization dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology and engineering sectors. They are on track to achieve gender parity in computer science by 2027. Their movement has reached almost 90, 000 girls of all backgrounds in all 50 states.
What is Girls Who Code? Why it matters: Computing is where the jobs are- and where they will be in the future, but fewer than 1 in 5 computer science graduates are women Alumni: Our alumni are entering college and declaring majors at a rate of 15 x the national average! We have approximately 5, 000 college-aged alumni. We also provide a platform for alumni called #Hire. Me where GWC partners look to hire students for internships and jobs.
