[Ref. ] Charter of ANF IPv 6 Task Force Chair: Secretariat: Mailing-lists: Seungyun Lee / ETRI <syl@etri. re. kr> Yusung Kim / KAIST <yskim@cosmos. kaist. ac. kr> ipv 6@anf. ne. kr Background: ANF should take lead in advanced networking with IPv 6 by deploying high performance IPv 6 infrastructure over R&E network in Korea. We provide the technical guidance for the deployment of IPv 6 and promote the development of IPv 6 applications. This is to aim to facilitate the IPv 6 production service. Objectives: l Deployment of Gigabit native IPv 6 production service l Promotion and Facilitation of IPv 6 network and applications Scopes: l IPv 6 Management Group • Provide stable IPv 6 services • Coordinates IPv 6 Network operation activities • Provides a platform to test various IPv 6 technologies and its applications among members l IPv 6 Application Development Group • Identify requirements for applications which could evidently benefit from IPv 6 • Facilitate research and development of new applications • Strive to bridge the gap between IT experts and domain scientists • Encourage and conduct collaboration or joint projects among participates Milestone: l April 04 l May 04 l June 04 l July 04~ l Sep 04(? )~ Establish a Gigabit Native IPv 6 Network(6 GN) with initial members (1 st Phase) IPv 6 application test with basic scenarios Extend the 6 GN to the associated members (2 nd Phase) IPv 6 application test with full scenarios and service operation Extend the 6 GN to the APAN IPv 6 Task Force member (JP, CN) (3 rd Phase) 12/15
