Concept Vox Pops International (VPI) are running a syndicated vox pop survey across the UK during 2018, focussing on issues that impact on consumers and their finances There is a demand from clients to have access to short video clips from consumers to help support presentations, to bring them to life and to help contextualise their environments. As a syndicated survey it will keep the costs down for individual companies. This proposal is based on 3 companies participating and the videos will be available for viewing in a portal.

Methodologies Vox Pops Vox pops are open-ended interviews that allow respondents to express their feelings and share their thoughts in an interactive manner. They last up to 10 minutes each, and during this time we typically ask around 10 -12 key questions, making it an ideal methodology for building insight, illustrating existing findings, concept testing, and comparing views across different locations. We will interview approximately 10 -12 respondents. They will be a mix of people and represent different genders, socio economic and ethnic groups. We will ask each respondent to state which bank they are with at present.

Methodologies Video Diaries Video diary style outputs are a unique way of capturing key moments and in-the-moment opinions, presented through the eyes of the consumers themselves. Content is edited together into dynamic videos that illustrate these key moments, usually taking us through a process or time period from start to finish. These diaries will last up to 15 minutes each and are filmed by the respondents themselves, on a mobile device.

Why Research & Insight Teams Choose Us Experience Research Savvy Global Presence Responsiveness Over

Why Research & Insight Teams Choose Us Experience Research Savvy Global Presence Responsiveness Over the past 30 years we’ve worked with a wide client base. As such, we have experience of tackling many different subjects, speaking to many different people, and running fieldwork in many different locations. We have researchers in house, as well as a research savvy production team and creative animators, meaning we produce films that are both insightful AND engaging, with absolutely no trade off. We’ve worked in over 50 markets and have an international network. We regularly run global insight video programs for clients and agencies such as Unilever, Ebay, Innocent, Jaguar, TNS and MEC Global. We work collaboratively with each of our clients and are flexible to their changing needs. We’re extremely responsive and can turn projects and edits around at speed when required. We’ve never missed a deadline! “Appreciated the flexibility on edits, given the large amount of footage that was at our disposal. Very happy with how things were managed on both timings and final outputs” Chris James, Research Manager @ Sky ”Quick responsive turn around to tight time scale, professional footage delivered completely to brief. I really felt that I'd got value for what I'd paid for” David Bunker, Head of Audiences @ BBC ” VPI are a brilliant agency and I’ve really liked working with them. The ability to go out to all these places, work globally, and meet those global expectations… In terms of filming but also in terms of doing the research” Lucie Wood, CMI Manager @ Unilever

Terms & Conditions Scope - We base the project on the final proposal sent

Terms & Conditions Scope - We base the project on the final proposal sent to the client. Any changes made during running of project that affect this might incur extra costs and impact on timings. We will advise you of this and ask for written sign off. This includes extra fieldwork, extra editing, extra project management time. Commissioning Agreement – commissioning will be on receipt of a written confirmation, either email, fax or letter. It is the client’s responsibility to issue a PO or invoicing details immediately. We retain the right to not supply the client with their footage or edit if this hasn’t been done. Invoicing – terms of payment 100% on commission, PO number to be assigned by client. Master footage – Our costs are based on us providing the client with the end deliverables, as stated in the proposal. If the client requires the master footage there will be an additional cost. There are considerations in terms of respondent privacy and we need to know at the commissioning stage. Master footage and final video content cannot be shared outside of the syndicate. Ethical procedures - We ask all respondents to sign a release form, which informs respondents of the end use of the video (i. e. whether it will be for internal or public broadcast). We operate within the MRS guidelines, gain permission for interviewing children, and ensure minimum disruption whilst filming and interviewing. We need to know if the client or other third parties will want to edit the footage themselves at any stage, in which case the release form has to state their company name and that the interview footage is to be used and/or edited by them. Computer Storage - We will store each edit on our computers for 3 months after project completion. After this 3 month period, footage will be stored on a secure drive. There is a charge included for this in the studio time fee. Showreels – From time to time we may use clips from final edits as part of Vox Pops International showreels, unless client requests otherwise. Music - If the client requires copyright music VPI have to gain permission and buy a licence through MCPS or the record label. This is a costly and timely process and must be discussed with VPI in the pre-production stage. However, VPI have an extensive library of copyright free music. Fieldwork – We reserve the right to change questions and cities at any stage during fieldwork. Filming permissions – This proposal is based on filming in the locations specified. Should the client require us to film in private property not in public space (on street) or owned by respondents/clients then permission will need to be attained prior to fieldwork. VPI cannot guarantee obtaining filming permission for such locations. Quality control - We have internal procedures to monitor all aspects of every project. We endeavour to over-deliver to our client expectations, however due to the nature of research, equipment and technology, (none of which are foolproof!) things do sometimes go wrong. If you have any issues with any aspect of your dealings please contact Steve Wyatt, Head of Projects, and we will aim to resolve the issue by whatever means neccessary. Post Project Feedback – At the end of the project we’ll ask you to complete a quick post-project survey. This helps us to monitor the level of service we are providing and ensures that we continually look for ways of improving our offering.
