GENERALY ABOUT THE TEAM � THEY’VE WON A LOT OF GAMES Women's handball team in Germany organized by the German Handball Association presents Germans handball in all � German national team major world and played under the name of continental West Germany and East championships. Germany up in 1990. when those two countries were united into one.
TITLES AND ACHIEVEMENTS � Women’s handball team has a lot of successfull years behind them. Most of their medals they’ve won in the 90’s. Only gold medal this team has they won on a world cup in Norway 1993. This amazing team won two bronze medals, on their own field in 1997 and in France in 2007. They came up short by 4 goals in the final of a European championship in 1994. Denmark was the winner of the championship.
20 ANJA ALTHAUS � Anja Althaus is the oldest and most experienced player in the current team. She plays as a line player and wears number 20. Anja Althaus currently plays for Thüringer HC. She is playing for German team for 11 years now. This amazing player scored around 430 goals in her shining career in a national team.
22 SUSANN MÜLLER � Susann Müller is a right back for German national handball team and also plays for German first league club HC Leipzig. She began her professional career in HC Leipzig, but she spent a few very good years in a Danish league, playing for SG Aarhus and Randers HK. She played for a year in a Slovenian RK Krim. Her debut with German national team was in 2007 against Japan.
16 CLARA WOLTERING � Clara Woltering is a German national goalkeeper. She plays for Montenegrian ŽRK Budućnost. This incredible goalkeeper has been working it’s way to the starting seven for 10 years. Before ŽRK Budućnost Clara played in Bayer Leverkusen for 12 years. Her biggest achievement was winning the champions league in 2012 with her current club.
10 ANNA LÖRPER � Anna Lörper is a German starting central back. She plays for Danish Team Tvis Holstebro. This experienced player has played for Germany in a couple of big competitions. Just like her team colleague Clara Woltering, before her current club she played with a lot of success for Bayer Leverkusen.
