GERMANY Germany is a country in the north and west of Europe. It is a very interesting country because it has many famous people, lots of interesting buildings, beautiful locations, many attractions and large cities.

FAMOUS PEOPLE ALBERT EINSTEIN – he is a very popular man from Germany. He was a scientist in the category of psyhics. He was born on 14 th of March 1879 in Ulm and died on 18 th of April 1955 in Princeton (USA). He got the Nobel Prize in 1921. JOHAN GUTENBERG- He was an inventor of printing press. He was born in 1399 and died on 3 rd of February 1468.

LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN – He was a famous composer from Germany. He’s the author of the „Ode To Joy”. He was born on 17 th of December 1770 and died on 26 th of March 1827. ANGELA MERKEL - She is the chancellor of Germany. She was born on 17 th of July 1954 in Hamburg. She is very popular. She is a well-liked person. BROTHERS GRIMM ( WILHELM KARL GRIMM and JACOB LUDWIG KARL GRIMM)- authors of „Grimms’ Fairy Tales’’. Wilhelm was born in 1786 and died in 1859. Jacob was born in 1785 and died in 1863.

SEBASTIAN VETTEL – He is the driver of Formula 1. He was born on 3 rd of July 1987 in Heppenheim. He is in the team of the Red Bull Racing ( in this year ) and his car is Red Bull RB 10. His start number is 1. His racing mate is Daniel Ricciardo. His achievent: 2003 : Formula BMW ADAC (2 nd) 2004 : Formula BMW ADAC (1 st) 2006 : Formula 3 Euro Series (2 nd) 2009 : Formula 1 (2 nd) 2010 -20013 : Formula 1 ( 4 times 1 st). MESUT ÖZIL – He is the football player. His team is Arsenal F. C. . He was born on 15 th of October 1988 in Gelsenkirchen. He is very good player and his position in the team is midfielder.

SEVERIN FREUND- He is ski jumper. He was born on 11 th of May 1988 in Freyung. He is 3 rd in general ranking. INTERESTING BUILDINGS BRANDERBURGS GATE- It’s the gate in Berllin. The gate was build in 1788 -1791 (after the Seven Years’ War). It’s the symbol of freedom and peace. NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE-it’s a castle near Fussen in the south of Bavaria. The castle was build in 1869 for the king - Ludwig II Wittelsbacha. SANSSOUCI PALACE- The palace is in the east part of Sanssouci Park. The palace was build in 1745 -1747 for the order of king Frideric II Great. The palace was extended in 1840 -1842 for the order of Frideric Wilhelm IV.

ST. PETER AND VIRGIN MARY CATHEDRAL IN COLOGNE- It’s the ghotic cathedral. Cathedral was build in 1248 -1880 (with intervals). AGWIZARDS CATHEDRAL- It’s in the Unesco list. Cathedral was build in 786 -800. The chief of buildiers was Odon from Meds.

RIVERS , LAKES AND SEAS REN-It’s the longest river in Germany. The root of Ren is in swiss of the Alphs. River has got 1233 km (865 km in Germany). BODEANS LAKE- It’s a lake in the borderlines of : Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Bodeans lake is third (in size) lake in Europe. BALTIC SEA-It’s shallow and not much salty sea.

NORTH SEA- It’s salty and deep.

ATTRACTIONS FERNSEHTURM –This tower was build in 1965 -1969. It’s the highest building in Germany (368 m). The top (ring) of the tower takes one turn in every 30 minutes. TROPICAL ISLAND- It’s a tropical entertainment park. It is 107 metres high. In the past the island was the factory of airships. OCTOBERFEST- It’s a feast of beer. The begin of Octoberfest was in 1810. Every year the Octoberfest is in the Monachium.

BIG CITIES BERLIN – It’s the capital city of Germany. MONACHIUM- This city has got the best football team in Europe. DORTMUND-This city has got the second football team in Europe.
