Major Policy Areas Georgia’s budget allows for spending in seven key areas: education, health care, public safety, transportation, natural resources, economic development and general government. The governor and the House of Representatives work together to create spending bills for consideration in the House and the Senate. Where does the money come from to keep our state running smoothly?
