Geometry Who Wants Extra Credit Chapter 3 Review Author: Eric Hoenigmann
How the activity works: One person will be called up to the board at random to solve a problem. They can choose anyone from their table to go up to the board with them to help them. Everyone else will work on the problem quietly with their table members. If the person at the board solves the problem correctly, the class earns. 5 extra credit points on the exam. In addition, a shot can be taken to earn. 5 points or 1 point more extra credit. If the problem is incorrect no points can be earned for that problem. Your work for this activity is to be turned in with your assignment packet. To obtain your extra credit points, you must have correctly completed all the problems from the activity. If you go up to the board, write big and as high as you can so everyone in the class can see your work. The class has 3 life lines. If you see that a pair is going to get a problem wrong on the board, you can save them by going up and correcting their mistake. Do not say anything to the pair up at the board. The pair at the board must face the board and not look at their peers. The most enthusiastic and supportive class will be awarded an extra 2. 5 extra credit points. Work with urgency! The more problems you solve, the more extra credit you will acquire.
