Mediterranean Sea • The Mediterranean Sea links 3 continents: – Europe, Africa, and Asia • Connected to the Atlantic Ocean by the Strait of Gibraltar – A strait is a small passage of water that connects to larger bodies of water – EX. Strait of Gibraltar connects the Mediterranean Sea with the Atlantic Ocean
Aegean Sea • Located between Greece and the Anatolian Peninsula – East of Greece – Has bright green water • Over 1, 000 islands – Archipelago- A chain or cluster of islands
