Technical Details • The IGB genome dashboard is a node. js web application driven by Express. js and Embedded Java. Script. • The backend retrieves the index of genomes available on Quick. Load sites – IGB repositories that host genome data supported by IGB. • Opening a genome from the genome dashboard in IGB requires that IGB be running, since the genome dashboard make requests to the local IGB API.
• Go to Bioviz. org • Click on IGB Genomes • Or, simply navigate directly to Bioviz. org/genomedashboard
• Browse the available genomes by scrolling down through the collection • Ensure IGB is running • Click on the image of a genome of interest to open its latest version in IGB
Easily access and compare different genome versions The genome dashboard indexes all the available versions of a genome supported by IGB • Click on Genome Versions to view the ones that are available • Click on any of the expanded tiles to open the respective genome in IGB
Search • Search genomes by common name or taxonomic classification • Unordered and partial search terms are acceptable • e. g. search rock dopsis to locate Lyrate rockcress, Arabidopsis lyrata
View in IGB • As IGB runs, it listens on localhost, port 7085 and accepts requests from the genome dashboard • Below, we show clicking on the Budding Yeast card results in IGB opening the latest available version of that genome
