n Genetic Engineering- Adding, replacing or modifying genes in a plant or animal Can be used in humans: n To correct a faulty gene in a living person n To eliminate genetic diseases n To improve a person e. g. adding a certain gene n To create designer babies n For eugenics to attempt to create a master race No respectable scientist or religious believer would agree with eugenics but research into gene therapy has been going on for many years
