§ Excedrin is a combination of acetaminophen, aspirin and caffeine § Acetaminophen is used as a pain reliever and fever reducer § Aspirin reduces substances in the body that cause pain, fever and inflammation § Caffeine is a stimulant for the central nervous system. It relaxes muscle contractions in blood vessels to improve blood flow § Excedrin is used to relieve pain caused by tension headaches, migraines, muscle aches, arthritis, colds or nasal congestion.

§ Each tablet of Excedrin contains 250 mg of acetaminophen, 250 mg of aspirin and 65 mg of caffeine. § Adults and children older than 12 years old are recommended to take 2 tablets every 6 hours. § No more than 8 tablets in one day § It is recommended to drink a full glass of water with each dose § Not recommended for children under 12 years old

§ Aspirin is a Category C unless a full dose is taken during the third trimester then it is considered a Category D § Acetaminophen is commonly used during pregnancy for short-term pain relief and fever in all stages of pregnancy.
