GATS Status Update (as of June 23, 2008) v. Solar Facilities Registered in GATS • • • 74 solar facilities registered in PA and DE Total nameplate capability of 782 k. W 1, 078 Solar REC’s created in GATS since 2005 Many are residential facilities (as small as 2 k. W) Two PA Renewable Energy Funds serve as aggregators for projects developed using their funds: • West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund • TRF Sustainable Development Fund • None of the above projects are settled in the PJM Market, so generation data is entered by the Account Holder • However, a proposed 3 MW solar facility in PA is planning to sell its energy in the PJM Market. 9/11/2021 © 2008 PJM EIS www. pjm. com 5
k. Wh Enhancements • Enhancements include: • Actual k. Wh data entry • Subscriber has the ability to enter the actual k. Wh generated on a monthly basis into the system • Monthly Meter Reads • Subscriber has the ability to enter the actual monthly meter reads from their system • Use of Production Estimates • State determines which systems are required to use production estimates • All systems will be checked against production estimates • Certificates will be created on the last business day of the month • Certificates will still be created based on a full MWh value • Remaining generation will be carried over to the next month 9/11/2021 © 2008 PJM EIS www. pjm. com 6
