Marketing • Created New Brochure • Began Participating in West Chester Borough Festivals • Increased Presence on Internet Search Engines • 2017 – Hula Frog, Macaroni Kid, Yelp, Google, Great Schools • Updated Website to include Forms/Documents and Calendar • Completed Permitting Process to hang an exterior sign • Created and ordered yard signs for families • 0 attrition of students from the 2017/2018 school year to the 2018/2019 school year
Fundraising • Pink Turtle Event Began November 2017 $776 Net Revenue • Shop With SCRIP • 2017/2018 - $1066 • 2018/2019 – $973. 28 (as of 11/6/18) • Spirit ware Sales $79 in net revenue for 2018/2019 • Initiated Enrichment Program after the loss of K-Club due to the implementation of full day kindergarten in WCASD • 2017 – 2018 - $16, 994 in revenue • 2018 – 2019 - $6, 438 (after only Fall Session) in net revenue
Budget/Administrative • Secured Board Insurance • Reviewed all Insurance Policies – Found annual savings of $3, 704 • Created New Budget with Income/Expense Categories rather than netting all expenses • Cut Bookkeeping expense by 62%
Auction and Hospitality • Purchased Software to Streamline Entire Auction Process • Eliminated Pumpkin Carving Event (8 families in October 2017) • Replaced it with Pizza/Ice Cream Social (22 families in August 2018)
Classroom Improvements • Researched, ordered and are implementing Mother Goose Curriculum • Purchased STEM materials for classrooms • Purchased new toys for classrooms • Monthly In-house or Off-campus field trips experience to enhance children’s learning. (Presentations aligned with curriculum themes) • Added November assessments to academic calendar • Passed Annual Inspection with no areas for improvement – 2 years running
Building/Maintenance • Negotiated Lease with New Landlord • Landlord replaced the walkway from the parking lot to door • Had the entire interior of the building painted • Replaced all floors in the building • Cleaned out basement, classrooms and attic • Purchased new tables, bookcases for all classrooms • Placed Security Cameras at all doors • Provided each family with an individual code to enter the building • New Door Locks have been ordered for all interior doors
Building Improvements (to be completed by June 2019) • Exterior of the building will be painted (Jeff Hilker - landlord) • Basement Door will be replaced (Jeff Hilker – landlord) • Entrance Door will be replaced (Jeff Hilker – landlord) • Porches will be replaced (Jeff Hilker – landlord) • Brick Patio will be laid (Playschool) Mid-Year Survey will be distributed to families first week of January

Director Continued • Notes from Teachers • • • Please watch your children in the parking lot/do not let them open the gate/door Drop off 8: 50 Pick up 12: 00, 1: 00 or 2: 00 Please make sure your child has had a healthy breakfast before coming to school Snacks – fruit, veggies, hummus, baked goods, cheese sticks, yogurt Please remember that social skills are what is emphasized on the WCASD website for preparation for kindergarten We are interested in the process, not the product/when aiding. Please encourage the children to try tasks themselves Please continue to encourage independence.
