Class Procedures • Each class session will begin with questions about the previous week’s

Class Procedures • Each class session will begin with questions about the previous week’s material. • A 10 -15 minute break will be provided about half-way through the session. • Feel free to ask questions at any time about the material being covered. • Class dismissal time will vary depending on material covered. • No smoking in the building.

Question Pool • Chapter 11 contains all of the questions that can be on the test. • The question pool is divided into 10 subelements with 2 -5 groups in each sub-element for a total of 35 groups. • The 35 questions on the exam will consist of 1 question from each of the 35 groups. • The answer order is scrambled.

General Class Overview • Getting Your General License • Pass 35 -question written exam -- Element 2. • Current (or expired less than 2 years) Technician license gives credit for Element 2. • Pass 35 -question written exam -- Element 3. • Technician class license issued prior to March 21, 1987, gives credit for both Elements 2 & 3.

VE Testing Process • Candidate attends VE exam session. • Candidate fills out application

VE Testing Process • Candidate attends VE exam session. • Candidate fills out application (NCVEC Form 605). • Team of a minimum of 3 Volunteer Examiners (VE) administer the exam. • VE team grades exam & informs candidate of result. • If the candidate passes, the candidate can start using new privileges immediately…. call sign / AG • VE team forwards session paperwork to the VEC for processing.
